This band brought on their big guns

The Celebrities Club at Solaris Mont Kiara has showcased a new addition to the Celebrities Hall of Fame: the band is called Projek Pistol. It comprises four young Malaysians who have dubbed themselves the First Malaysian Supergroup. Since their first album launch Stereo Andromeda last year in May, The Celebrities Club showcase was their first performance here.

Projek Pistol members are Edrie Hashim (Guitar), Pa’e (Drums), Boy (Vocalist) and Zham (Bassist). One would consider their genre of music to be Modern Rock, arranged to somewhat soothe, with flavours of the rock music of the 80s and the 90s.

Stereo Andromeda was produced by Edrie Hashim and is on sale (since May 17 this year) . The showcase that was held at The Celebrities Club was a show of appreciation from the band to their fans, close friends and media who have all been supporting them throughout their career.

More particularly, this showcase was targeted mainly towards their female friends as they had arranged that no entrance fees be charged for ladies. The boys even dedicated one of their songs , entitled Wanita Seluruh Dunia to women that evening. Male guests paid RM35 at the door but this payment entitled them to Projek Pistols’ album for free.

The band flawlessly performed some of their songs including Kalimah, Turun Dari Langit, Hingga Hujung Nyawa, Animositi, Lihatku Pelangi, Syurga, Wanita Seluruh Dunia, and their covers of Vertigo, Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me (By U2) and two more cover songs — Billie Jean by 6/8 and Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz.
