Biography
The passion and love for music brought the four lineups together. From being friends who share the same interest in music, the four talented youngsters came out with the idea of forming a band. After a year of jamming sessions and performing in gigs and events with various names, the band was offered a record deal by NEO GENDANG RECORD.

The band was officially formed with the name CILI when their debut album was releasing. After an exhausting 4 year recording process, their album was finally released on May 17th 2005 entitled KAU BERNAMA CINTA. The album consists 10 songs written by CILI and a few rocking composers; Edrie Hashim, G-Nola, Jemboo (DEF-GAB-C), and CD (Sil-Khannaz). The album is set to rock the local music industry with fresh music, arrangements and vibes that will definitely be an eye-opener for music-lovers nationwide to realise that we have our very own local talents that should be heard, appreciated and loved.

Our influences include rock bands like Hole, Garbage, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Alanis Morissette, Re Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters and sounds alike. Individually, our influences varied; from pop to funk, dance music and jazz. That answers to the fact that we love to experiment our music. Our first album is also the result of experimental music, beautiful collaboration and inspiration.We would define our music as a mixture of almost every type of rock music. It is a blend of old skool rock n roll, punky garage sound and a little bit of smooth; soulful ska. Generally; (and to make it simple, nice and short) our genre is MODERN ROCK.
